Police in Jigawa State on Saturday arrested two suspects over the alleged killing of an 18-year-old boy, Haruna Auwala, at Kafin Gana Village, Birnin Kudu Local Government.
Police spokesman, ASP Lawan Shiisu Adam confirmed the incident to Our Source.
He said the incident occurred after the father of the deceased reported him to the anti-theft union (Yanbulala) for punishment after he got information that his son stole a small quantity of maize.
Shiisu explained that the suspects beat the teenager after which he died at Birnin Kudu General Hospital.
He said two suspects, one Yahuza Ladan a member of Yan Bulala, and his accomplice were arrested.
Shiisu added that the suspects would be charged to court after investigation is completed.
