Chaos broke out at the Agodi community of Ibadan, Oyo state capital following a conflict between okada riders and officials of the Agodi prison.
It was allegedly reported that the clash started as a result of the death of an okada rider who was shot by an official of the Prison.
Olugbenga Fadeyi, spokesman of Oyo state police command confirmed the incident and also disclosed that policemen have been deployed to curtail the violence.
“The truth is that there was a clash between officers of the correctional service and bike men stationed at agodi gate.
“One okada riders sustained injury and he was rushed to the University College Hospital. Our men moved in swift response to be able to curtail the menace of criminal elements. Are men are still there to ensure that okada riders do not take law into their hands.”
