Nigeria's Moses Simon nominated for CAF Player Of The Year Award alongside Mo Salah and Saido Mane (Full Awards list) (Updated: Friday, 1st July 2022, 02:27 AM)


Super Eagles of Nigeria star, Moses Simon has been nominated for the Confederation of African Football (CAF) Player of the Year award, alongside Liverpool's Mo Salah and Bayern Munich's Saido Mane.

 

CAF on Thursday, June 30, released the first list of nominees for the Men’s categories namely Player of the Year, Interclub Player of the Year, Young Player of the Year, National Team of the Year and Club of the Year.

 

CAF said it will announce the nominees for the Women’s categories soon.


Former Golden Eaglets forward Akinkunmi Amoo was nominated for the Young Player of the Year Award

 

The winners of each category will be decided by a voting panel made up of CAF Technical Committee, media professionals, Head Coaches & Captains of Member Associations and clubs involved at the group stage of the Interclub competitions.

The CAF Awards 2022 will be held ahead of the final of Africa’s women’s Cup of Nations in Morocco scheduled to take place between 2 July – 23 July.
