Alex Iwobi has backed Everton to bounce back from Wednesday night’s disappointing 3-1 home defeat to Manchester City, reports NK Media.
Carlo Ancelotti’s side did manage to lay a glove at least as Richarlison canceled out Phil Foden’s opener, only the second time in the last nine league games City have failed to keep a clean sheet, but there was no denying them a 17th straight win in all competitions.
The Toffees are now without a win in their last five home games ahead of facing Merseyside rival Liverpool at Anfield on Saturday.
Everton stays in the seventh position on the table with the result putting a dent on their hopes of securing a top-four finish at the end of the season.
Iwobi featured for 68 minutes in the game before he was replaced by Josh King.
“Dug Deep, We’ll Pick Our Heads Up & Go Again 💪🏽 #UpTheToffees,” he tweeted after the game.
The Nigeria international has scored one goal in 20 league appearances for Everton this season.
