Governor Bello Matawalle of Zamfara State has condemned the violence on a northern community in Ibadan, Oyo State.
He called on President Muhammadu Buhari and Governor Seyi Makinde to put a stop to the senseless and merciless attack in the state.
Matawalle made the call on Sunday through a statement signed by his spokesperson, Zailani Bappa.
Recall that people were reportedly killed in a clash between Hausa speaking people and the Yorubas at Shasha Market on Friday and Saturday.
Reacting to this development, Governor Matawalle called on Buhari to take decisive action on the spate of violence gripping some south-western states and which is gradually turning into criminality.
He also urge his colleague, Makinde to take “concrete steps in curtailing the ongoing senseless and merciless attacks and ensure that such happenings do not occur again.”
