Federal High Court judge, Ibrahim Watila passes on (Updated: Tuesday, 26th January 2021, 07:02 PM)


The Chief Judge of the Federal High Court of Nigeria, Justice John Tsoho has announced the demise of Justice Ibrahim Watil.

He died on 24th January after a brief illness.

Watila was serving at the Abeokuta Division of the court until his death.

Born on the 12th of May 1963, Watila was appointed to the Federal High Court Bench on December 2, 2015.

Tsoho described the deceased as a courageous judge, whose exit will be felt by the court and the country.

He prayed that God would grant his immediate family, relatives and friends the fortitude to bear the loss.

Wake-keep service will hold on at his Watila’s residence in Abuja on Wednesday.

The Valedictory Court Session is slated for Thursday at the Ukeje Hall, Federal High Court Headquarters, Abuja.

Watila’s remains will be interred on Saturday at Marama, Hawul Local Government Area of Borno State.
