Former presidential aide to ex-president Goodluck Jonathan, Reno Omokri, has accused President Muhammadu Buhari of not planning to reform Nigeria Police.
Recall that the Inspector-General of Police, Mohammed Adamu, disbanded the Special Anti-Robbery Squad, SARS and promised to reform the unit.
Adamu on Tuesday set up a new tactical unit to replace the disbanded Special Anti-Robbery Squad.
In a statement by the Force spokesman, Frank Mba, the new unit is named Special Weapons and Tactics Team - (SWAT).
Reno, however, stated that President Buhari who is allegedly sending the military to beat peaceful protesters can’t reform police.
The former presidential aide in a post on his Twitter account wrote, “If the head is rotten, it will only contaminate the body. How can you expect General @MBuhari, who sent soldiers to beat peaceful protesters, to reform @PoliceNG. Can satan reform demons? Buhari is the problem, not the solution
