El Clasico: Aubameyang sets another record as Barcelona beat Real Madrid (Updated: Monday, 21st March 2022, 07:10 PM)

Barcelona striker, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, on Sunday set another record after scoring a brace in his side’s LaLiga El Clasico 4-0 win.

Barcelona defeated Real Madrid at the Santiago Bernabeu, thanks to two goals from Aubameyang and a strike each from Ronald Araujo and Ferran Torres.

Aubameyang’s two goals against Real Madrid means the Gabon captain has now scored nine goals in 11 matches since leaving Arsenal in the January transfer window.

But Aubameyang, who gave the assist for Torres’ goal against Real Madrid, has also set another record in the LaLiga as he has become the first player in the 21st century to be involved in three goals in his first-ever El Clasico match.

The 32-year-old is also the only player in the 21st century to score in five consecutive games against the Los Blancos.

The forward had last week made history as Barcelona defeated Galatasaray in the Europa League.
