The Delta State Electoral Commission, DSIEC, has commenced the distribution of electoral materials to the various Units and Wards in Warri South Local Government Area of Delta State.
In a chat with newsmen, DSIEC’s Chief Electoral Officer in Warri South Local Government Area, Mrs. Mary Fregene confirmed the distribution of electoral materials to the areas.
She said the distribution started very early in the morning and there were no hitches during the process.
On the complaints that some persons were not employed after they were trained by DSIEC before the election, Mrs. Fregene said,”It is not in my place to employ those people that were trained. It is the board. The distribution of the electoral materials and everything went well. It has been peaceful.”
Our Correspondent who was at the DSIEC office in Warri South Council reports that the exercise witnessed maximum presence of security operatives comprising the Police, Immigration, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps and others.
