President Muhammadu Buhari on Tuesday presided over the All Progressives Congress (APC) National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting.
It was held at the Council Chambers in the State House, Abuja.
Also in attendance were Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, Senate President, Ahmad Lawan, and House of Representatives Speaker, Femi Gbajabiamila.
Others were Chairman, Caretaker and Extraordinary Convention Planning Committee and Yobe Governor, Mai Mala Buni; Chairman, Progressive Governors Forum (PGF) and Kebbi Governor, Atiku Bagudu; Governors Kayode Fayemi of Ekiti and Badaru Abubakar, among others.
A number of other governors and party officials joined virtually, while some were in physical attendance.
The highlight of the NEC meeting was the extension of the tenure of the Buni-led Caretaker Committee.
The team will remain in office until June 2021.
