The Mix Monster, Udoka Chigozie Oku popularly known as Selebobo is an ward winning Nigerian singer, record producer and sound engineer whose name continues to ring bell in every beat of hit songs.
Selebobo started up as a singer but soon came through as a sound engineer and was known for his mononym “Mix Monster”.
He is the brain behind most of the mixing in hit singles in the country.
Selebobo was born on July 29, 1992
He hails from Ukpo, Oranto Village in Donukofia local government area in Anambra State.
He is the 11th child in a family of 12 children.
He is from a christian family and music background as his father was a musician and a guitarist in the late 70s.
He grew up in Enugu State where he had his primary and secondary education.
He also obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Fine and Applied Arts at the Nnamdi Azikwe University in Awka, Anambra State.
Selebobo started doing music at a very tender age while recording song in his father studio.
At the age of 12, he already began producing music with his little Yamaha DJX Keyboard.
He rose to fame in 2013 for producing singles such as “Yoyo” featuring J. Martins, Zamina, “Kulenje” featuring Stormrex and “Odeshi” alongside Nyanya.
He produced the hit song “The Evolution” for his record label “Made Men Music Group”.
He is the producer behind Yemi Alade‘s first hit single “Johnny”, Flavour’s hit single “Ada Ada” and Nyanya’s “Mr. Oreo”.
