DJ Lambo whose real name is Olawunmi Okerayi is an award winning Nigerian disc jockey born in Ogun State, western part of Nigeria. She won the the DJ of the year at the 2016 City People Entertainment Awards.

She was also named as one of the top 5 Nigerian DJs to watch out for in 2015 by the Nigerian Entertainment Toda (NET).

Her kind of sound is a fusion of house music, techno and Afro-pop.

Background

DJ Lambo who was born in Ogun State, hails from a family of seven.

She is the only girl in the family and had grew up with her four brothers.

She obtained a degree in English and Literature t the University of Abuja.

Career

DJ Lambo’s career as a disc jockey was influenced by her father, DJ Tony Lewis.

She started professionally in 2008 as an on-air personality on Raypower 100.5 FM and Rhythm FM 94.7 Abuja.

She got signed to Loopy music in 2013 before she joined Chocolate City in 2015, the label which is already a home to the likes of M.1, Dice Ailes, CKay and Koker.

She released her album; A Tale of Two Cities with features from music stars such as Reminisce, Zanda Zakuza, Iyanya, Ckay and so on.

DJ Lambo has performed in several events which include; Big brother Naija and Smirnoff House Party.
