Di’ja is a Nigerian singer and song writer born on 14th of August and currently signed to Mavin records.
She is of mixed race, born to a Nigerian mother and a Sierra Leonian/Lebanese father who is also a one time deputy minister of Sierra Leone.
Di’ja is a multi-linguist as she speaks the Hausa language fluently with her mother being from the Northern part of Nigeria and Krio language, a Sierra Leonian local dialect.
Di’ja whose name is a combination of Hadiza and Khadijah, earned a double degree in Biology and Psychology.
With influence from music stars such as Bob Marly, Tupac Shakur, Tracy Champman, Mia, The Everly brother, she started her music carer in 2008 and rose to fame in 2014 with her hit single “Awww” after joining the Mavin records.
The song “Awww” was accompanied with a befitting visuals to compliment as directed by Unlimited LA.
Her first official single under the Mavin records was “Yaro” which is an up-tempo love tune. The song infuses both Hausa and Krio langauage which was meant to acknowledge her Nigerian and Sierra Leone roots.

Ever since she came to limelight, she has also been featured in the Mavin collaboration singles like; “Dorobucci”, “Adaobi”, “Jantamata”, “Looku Looku”, which stars the likes of Don Jazzy, D’Prince, Tiwa Savage, Dr Sid, Tiwa Savage, Reekado Banks and Korede Bello.
Di’ja is one of those celebrities who does not flaunt her private life on social media. She was married for years, pregnant and even had a baby without anybody knowing what’s happening inn her life.
